FBH is just another version of a mobile home, which the last I checked is illegal in the state of Hawaii.
These FBH's are pre manufactured in sections than delivered to the building sites and erected. This would hurt the local
building industry, especially the small home building contractors. They would have to lay off workers because the job utilizes
less manpower and less skilled workers. Which means unemployment rate will rise, some will look to welfare for help.
The aspect of Trailer Parks here and there throughout the island, envision them 5, 10, 20 years from now. The term "Trailer
Park Trash" are some of the inhabitants that occupy these dwellings, unfortunately they will not maintain these housings as a
homeowner does theirs.
Hawaii has a very active Hurricane season, you can google the numerous hurricanes that swept through the Southern and
Southeastern states and see the devastation of these FBH (Trailer Parks) which creates Homelessness.
The long term negatives outweighs the long term positives and the only people who would benefit from FBH are the
manufacturers and investors.
I completely oppose "Appendix L Factory Built Housing" (FBH) and all references to FBH in the proposed ordinance, pages 90-
92.
