Aloha Planning Committee,
I am writing to support Resolution 678-20 because 5-G technology has not been independently tested for safety. There have
been many anecdotal reports of health issues related to microwave frequencies of electromagnetic radiation and while I am not
against progress, I am for sound science. Let the companies wishing to install this new technology pay independent
researchers, chosen by a citizen committee, to fully study, analyze, and report on environmental and health effects. Since these
effects are likely to be cumulative over time, a long term, multi-generational study would be appropriate.
Council members should be aware that allowing this type of installation to go forward without guarantee of safety could open the
County to liability lawsuits. It is a much wiser approach to take things slowly. The average citizen will see very little in the way
of benefits and the risks are unknown.
