I would like to sincerely thank you for your leadership and tremendous support for the County of
The funding provided through HB 1180, HD1 (Act 9) will allow critical action to be taken over
the course of the next two years. Planned initiatives supported by the State subsidy include getting people
back home and back to work, taking care of our keiki and kupuna, accelerating community-based
recovery and building the overall recovery capacity. Long-term efforts will be aided with the State loan
to the County allowing for cash to match FEMA and other non-state grants; thus providing opportunities
to build complete communities including restoration and/or relocation of roadways, waterlines and park
infrastructure.
