IN CONCLUSION:
THERE MUST HAVE BEEN VALID REASONS FOR NCLUtING THIS P.E.
REQUIREMENT IN THE CHARTER OVER MANY YEARS.
THERE IS SOMETHING TO BE SAID FOR HOW ENGINEERS RELATE AND
WORK WITH OTHERS; I CAN PERSONALLY TELL YOU THAT WORKING WITH
A PROFESSIONAL MANAGER IS BETTER THAN OTHER OPTIONS.
LASTLY AND RECENTLY, THERE WAS A LONG STANDING SITUATION
WHERE THE SUBORDINATE POSITIONS EARNED SIGNIFICANTLY MORE
THAT THIS DIRECTOR. THIS SITUATION WAS CALLED A "SALARY
INVERSION" AND CORRECTED IN JANUARY OF 2018 BY YOUR SALARY
COMMISSION.
