Unfinished Business (for discussion and appropriate action) PRESENTATION BY MAYOR HARRY KIM AND FINANCE DIRECTOR DEANNA SAKO REGARDING THE COUNTY OF HAWAIʻI’S FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020 BUDGET (in particular, concerning salary increases, decreases, or status quo/no adjustments). 1. Review of existing compensation plan to include discussion and consideration on proposals for adjustments to future salaries of executives and elected officials beginning July 1, 2019. Discussion may include: Harold Dow, J. A. Greenbaum, Nelson H. Harano, James W. Higgins, Florence K. Ikeda, Milton Pavao, P. E. Members Hawai‘i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. Salary Commission Page 2 June 27, 2019 A. Salary Commission’s Plan, as amended, regarding a schedule concerning future salary adjustments (increases, decreases, or no change). The objective of the Plan is to secure the best available information toward considering and deciding on possible future salary adjustments by consulting and inviting the various County departments and board/commission representatives, including input and available information by the Department of Human Resources. WRITTEN SUBMITTALS: By the various Hawaiʻi County departments and agencies submitting information concerning whether future salary adjustments should be incorporated into the County of Hawaii’s Fiscal Year 2019-2020 budget.
