Residents in the Puakō area may take their household generated refuse to the Waimea Transfer Station, which is open today between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., or to the West Hawaiʻi Sanitary Landfill, which is open from 7 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The Puakō Transfer Station will reopen on Friday, July 19, 2019, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.
