Dear Mr. Lagorio:
Thank you for your letter of May 30, 2019 regarding the initiative to restore the
quality of water in Bayfront. I have the pleasure to tell you that the State Harbors
Division is helping the County together with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to
explore this dream.
This has been a long-standing dream for me, and your letter indicates that you
share the same wish to return our Bayfront waters to their pristine state, to allow our
families to safely swim and fish.
We have been very grateful to State Harbors Division, who have agreed that this
plan is feasible. We are very excited at the prospect of engaging in the work of
restoring the coral and the fish by undertaking this difficult, costly and lengthy project.
I wish I could give you a timeline, but I can assure you that we are carrying on
the necessary studies as we speak.
Thank you very much for your shared interest in this project, which will benefit
the entire community for generations to come.
Aloha,
7Yrri
