Subject: Request to Utilize Hawaii Community Correctional Center (HCCC) Work Line
Demolition Work and Removal of Materials from 34 Rainbow Drive
Dear Warden Cabreros,
Thank you very much for allowing the County of Hawaii (County) to utilize the HCCC Work Line
for various County projects.
The County is requesting for manpower assistance as we begin work on converting the Old
Memorial Hospital located at 34 Rainbow Drive to an emergency shelter for individuals
experiencing homelessness. The work would involve the demolition of kitchen and office
cabinetry and the removal of the cabinetry and other office equipment and furniture into
dumpsters that will be on site.
The County will provide equipment to complete the work along with drinks and a lunch for each
person. We request 6 individuals for the work line, as well as the amount of required guards.
We would like to schedule the work for the week of June 101h for a full day. Please contact
Sharon Hirota at 961-8019 or by email at sharon.hirota(a7_,-hawaiicounty.gov to confirm date and
time of the Work Line's availability.
Thank you very much for your assistance.
Sinc rely,
Wil Okabe
