Dear Mayor Caldwell,
RE: SB 1292
I do not agree with HCOM's recommendation urging Governor Ige to veto
SB1292, HD3. While Hawai'i County is still concerned with obtaining data and
information to enable us to enforce our land use ordinances and rules related to
transient accommodations, we believe that the current legislation is a small, but
necessary step toward the larger goal of meaningful enforcement for our Counties thru
a coordinated effort between the State and all Counties.
