To Whom It May Concern:
Our ongoing mission must be to look to the past so that we can create a better
future. Hawai'i is and should ever be a beacon of hope and peace for the rest of the
world.
My heartfelt dream is that the spirit of Aloha prevails throughout the world, where
diversity will be respected and celebrated.
War is man's greatest failure, and I pray that the world of my grandchildren and
their children will be free of armed conflict. It is up to us to lay the foundations for peace
now, and for Hawaii to set the example of a peaceful world.
