5. PUBLIC TESTIMONY ON ADGENDA ITEMS- All testimonies shall be relevant to
the meeting agenda's specific items. At the discretion of the Chair, public testimony
may also be taken when each agenda item is discussed.
6. OLD BUSINESS;
a. Mayor's Letters
b. Bill Hanson from Civil Defense to Present on the 360 program at MCPD
September meeting.
c. New Officers : Patricia Walters as chair, Susan Shirachi as Secretary/ Treasurer,
Vice Chair position pending acceptance
d. Follow up on possibility of Videoconferencing for MCPD meetings
e. Discussion on Tentative Guest speakers
7. NEW BUSINESS
A. Officers
a. Executive Meeting to follow each monthly meeting.
B. Discussion on Letter to Mayor on possibility of having two committees, East and
West and yearly report for September.
C. Discussion on MCPD Bylaws
D. Reports from committee

- MCPD meetings will be held 6 times a year due to budget
constraints.
8. ANNOUNCEMENTS
a. Please review the MEETING Dates and Dates for meeting rooms need to be
reserved beginning in September.

NOTICE TO LOBBYISTS
If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five days of becoming a
lobbyist (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawaii County Code).
A lobbyist means, "any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five
hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative
or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." (Article
15, Section 2-91.3(a)(6), Hawaii County Code.)
