Kealakehe Greenwaste Site Temporarily Closed Today,
August 14, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
The Kealakehe (Kona) Transfer Station’s greenwaste site only will be temporarily closed
from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. today (Wednesday, August 14, 2019) for equipment
repairs.
The public may take their greenwaste to the West Hawaiʻi Organics Facility, aka
Puʻuanahulu landfill, in Waikoloa, which is open six days a week (closed on Sundays),
from 7:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
We apologize for the inconvenience due to the recent equipment damage, and thank
you for your patience and understanding.
