HomeMy WebLinkAboutIECC 2015 - NOTICECounty of Hawaii – Energy Code Update 2006 IECC 2015 IECC As of 03/31/2019, per Hawaii Revised Statutes §107-24, §107-25, §107-28 and Hawaii Administrative Rules §3-181.1, the County of Hawaii will be enforcing the 2015 IECC – with state issued amendments, as the interim County energy code, until such time as amendments are approved and issued by Hawaii County Council. Starting August 15, 2019 all incoming permit applications are required to make use of the 2015 IECC compliance blocks and signoff forms available at the Department of Public Works – Building Division or the County of Hawaii website, these include revisions to the State forms and supplemental information required to aid in the processing of permit applications. Forms and references to the 2006 IECC will no longer be accepted. County of Hawaii 2015 IECC Compliance forms must accompany building permit applications in (1) of the following formats: 1)As a detached form To be supplied attached to EACH plan set - 2 copies for residential, 3 for commercial – Per County of Hawaii Ordinance 12-27 – Chapter 5-25(a) i.(1) original wet-seal/stamp minimum required 2)Included within the plan sets as a block Signature of design professional still required – No stamp required as the sheet it is included on should already have the necessary stamp. Please ensure that plan sections, details and elevations identify the methods and materials required by the chosen method of compliance. There will be updates to documentation, supporting information and forms as we move towards adoption and amendment at the County level. Please check back with the County of Hawaii webpage, permit clerks or plan reviewers prior to submission of an application to ensure you are utilizing the most recent information and forms as they are subject to change with limited notification.
