Dear Mr. Pratt:
Thank you for your letter of July 17, 2019, regarding your homeowner
association's concerns about the location of the proposed West Hawai'i Community
Veterans Center in Kailua-Kona.
As you note in your letter, the site selection involved State agencies, including
the Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS). Please be aware that the
County of Hawaii does not have jurisdiction over the location of this project, which is on
State land.
I encourage you to contact your State Representative and State Senator to voice
your concerns.
