comments gathered from your letter.Your comments are in regular type followed by our responses in bold,below.
COMMENTS:
1. Regarding the 2 existing wall signs—Clarification is neededforthe sign size and dimensions;the signs should
identify howthey match the existing sign variance allowance forWalmart wall signs.
RESPONSE:The County of Hawaii KailuaVillage Design Commission Approval Letterclated 08/31/11
and the County of Hawaii State of Hawaii Resolution No.186 11 were included in our submission to

2. Clarification is needed for the location for where the existing McDonaids"M"sign will be relocated and
the sign dimensions;
RESPONSE: Sheets: A140 and A145 have been updated to show the revised location for the
McDonald's"M"sign.The McDonald's " "sign has also been added to the Signage Schedules and
shown in Detail 9 on Sheet:A145 was added to show the dimensions.Sheet: E720 was updated to
relocate powerto this existing relocated litsign.

3. Clarification is needed for the size and dimensions of the proposed"Pickup"sign:and
RESPONSE:The proposed Pickup*sign is a small 2'-6"lit sign at a total of 32.53 sq.ft.The detail for
this sign is located on Sheet:A145.This sign is also listed on the New Signage Schedule.This sign is
visible to Wa Iart's customers only and indicates that online grocery pickup is available at this store.
d. Regarding the ground sign —Clarification is needed if the proposed ground sign will be non-illuminated
as well as the sign size and dimensions.
RESPONSE: The,New Signage Schedule located on Sheet: A145 has been updated to note that this
existing site sign is not lit nor will it be lit. The dimensions for this 2'-0" sign is shown in Detail 4 on
Sheet:A145.
