5. NEW BUSINESS
a. Clarification of the historic review process and timelines, including Section 106
of the National Historic Preservation Act, for the Kealakehe Wastewater
Treatment Plant R-1 Upgrade Project.
b. Presentations by Bradley Romine, Ph.D., of the U.S. Sea Grant College Program,
on the rise in sea level, and by Bethany Morrison, of the County Planning
Department, on the County’s long range policy efforts to implement sea level
rise adaptation.
6. REPORTS/CORRESPONDENCE
a. Chair’s Informational Report on the status of commercial sewage injection wells
in Kailua-Kona and the relationship to sewer service connections.
b. Director’s Informational Report (NOTE: it is deferred until the October 23, 2019,
meeting).
7. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Commissioners can suggest items they would like placed on the next agenda.
8. ANNOUNCEMENTS
The next meeting is scheduled for October 23, 2019, at the West Hawaiʻi Community
Center, Building G, in Kailua-Kona.

to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to
communicate with public officials.” \[Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a)(6), Hawaiʻi County Code.\]
