LEGISLATIVE SUBCOMMITTEE REPORT
May 22, 2019
As of this date, the following items followed by PABEA have been
enrolled/transmitted to the Governor:
• SB366 SD2 HD2 r/t health: to fund the ADRD Services Coordinator in EOA
• HB465 HD1 DS2 r/t aging: to fund Kupuna Care program
• SB1025 SD1 HD2 r/t KC Caregivers: to fund KC Caregivers Program
• HB468 HD1 SD2 r/t Healthy Aging Partnership: to fund HAP
• HB 471 HD1 SD1 CD1 r/t aging: establishes quorum requirements for PABEA
Notable items which did not make it this year:
• HB469 HD1 SD1 r/t hearing aids: requires health insurers to provide
coverage for the cost at a minimum of $1500 per hearing aid every 3 years
• SB1374 SD2 HD1 r/t Hawaii Retirement Savings Program: funds for
implementation study
