Dear Mayor Takeuchi:
I'm writing to tell you that we were happy to welcome your high school students
from last week. Thank you very much for your very thoughtful and delicious omiyage.
Unfortunately, my schedule did not permit me to personally greet the students
and their chaperones. Managing Director Wil Okabe met and talked with the group in
our County office.
As ever, your students were charming and courteous; a true credit to your city.
They made a wonderful impression on everyone here.
I imagine that your students enjoyed themselves and learned a lot about Hawaii
during their stay on our Island. We appreciate your leadership in helping this exchange
program flourish.
