Clerk Hendricks explained that the motion to amend on September 4th would require an additional hearing in September to adopt unless they agree to suspend their rules. Councilmembers discussed some concern about having mandatory language in the plan that could open up unintended consequences, as well as some concerns about how this language translates to Planning Department processes. Upon the motion to postpone the discussion on Bill 87 Draft 2, Kona CDP amendments a vote was taken.
