CALL TO ORDER
Chair Brooke Derby called meeting to order at 12:11 pm.

Kami motioned to approve agenda. Mele seconded. No discussion. Motion
passed.
IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES (January 30, 2019)
• Kami and Cyd were present for February 2019 meeting. Diane's name
changed to Diana on February 2019 minutes. Changes made. Mihaela
moved to approve minutes, Kami seconded motion. February 2019
minutes approved.
V. TREASURER'S REPORT
A. February 2019 financials
Jewel not present.
B. Update shared by Brooke
CSW needs to discuss and vote on funds to
support CSW projects, specifically Real Women Essay Contest.
Hawaii County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer
C. Per Mitch, suggestion for the CSW to take a vote to try option A then
option B; then Mitch set up a meeting with Deanna. Mitch thinks this
meeting can be done by phone.
D. Andrew motioned to adjust RFP for venue down by $150 taken from
parking; secondly reduce the CODE 106 $250/brochures; $500 rom
CODE 115 Conferences; then out of 115 $500 Women's Summit; then out
CODE 112 $550. Part three of motion is to increase CODE 115 for RWE
from $300 to $1400 and to increase CODE 341 Facility $2000 to $2700.
Part four is the new overall budget for Real Women Essay to reflect
revenue projection of $800 so overall total $4900. Mele seconded. Motion
approved.

VIII. REPORTS
A. Hawaii State CSW update State CSW financial request of $1250 to CSW
for Equal Pay.
IX. OLD BUSINESS
A. Teen Dating Violence
• Table for April 2019 meeting.
B. Real Women Essay Contest
• Andrew motioned to adjust RFP for venue down by $150 taken
from parking; secondly reduce the CODE 106 $250/brochures;
$500 rom CODE 115 Conferences; then out of 115 $500 Women's
Summit; then out CODE 112 $550. Part three of motion is to
increase CODE 115 for RWE from $300 to $1400 and to increase
CODE 341 Facility $2000 to $2700. Part four is the new overall

so overall total $4900. Mele seconded. Motion approved.
Action Item: CSW members to send essay scores to Farrah by new deadline
March 31St is new deadline.
C. Hawaii Island Women's Leadership Forum
a. Table for April 2019 meeting.
D. CSW Brochure —
a. Mihaela sent a draft of brochure to Brooke.
Action Item: CSW members to send CSW Pictures and any suggestions to
Mihaela.

X. NEW BUSINESS
a. New Programs + New Projects — None
b. RISE OF WAHINE DOCUMENTARY
i. CSW will support documentary by having CSW name
attached to University Hilo supporting the documentary. Due
to majority of organizations and presence in Hilo such as
YWCA and/or Zonta. Mele made a motion for CSW to work
in partnership with UH Hilo to support the showing of the
"Rise of Wahine" documentary. Kami seconded. Motion
approved.
c. Update CSW Operating Guidelines
i. Tabled discussion to April 2019 meeting to ensure more
members were in attendance.
ADJOURNMENT
Andrew to adjourn the meeting, Farrah seconded. No discussion. Motion
carried. April 2019 meeting set for Honokaa. Meeting adjourned at 1:51 pm.
