DATE: Wednesday, December 11, 2019 TIME: 2:00 PM PLACE: Planning Department Conference Room, 101 Pauahi St., Ste. 3, Hilo, 96720 CALL TO ORDER Approval of Addendum and/or Supplemental Agenda (requires four (4) votes and must comply with HRS § 92-7(d)). STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC — Note that statements from the public regarding any particular item on this agenda will be taken at the time the particular item is called to order. BUSINESS OF AGENCY 1. Review, Discussion, and Action regarding two (2) Proposed Request for Qualifications (RFQ) / Request for Proposals (RFP) for Properties Located on Banyan Drive, Waiakea Peninsula, Hilo to be Heard Before the Board of Land and Natural Resources (BLNR) at their December 13, 2019 board meeting. The two (2) RFQ/RFP's being considered are for the following properties: 1) TMK (3) 2-1-005:033-035 & 045 (Uncle Billy's Hilo Bay Hotel), and 2) TMK(3) 2-1-005:020 (Country Club Hawaii). ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS 1. Approval of minutes from the August 28, 2019, Banyan Drive Hawaii Redevelopment Agency meeting. www.cohplanningdept.com Hawai`i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer planningkco.hawaii.hi.us ANNOUNCEMENTS 1. Next meeting tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, 2019, at the Aupuni Center Conference Room. ADJOURNMENT The purpose of the public hearings is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to be heard on the above matters. Public testimony may also be submitted before 12:00 noon on the business day prior to the meeting: (1) by mail to the Planning Department in Hilo at 101 Pauahi Street, Suite 3, Hilo, Hawaii, 96720 or in Kona at 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Hwy., Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740; (2) by facsimile to (808) 961- 8742; (3) by email to planningghawaiicounty_.gov Please submit separate testimony for each item. If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist [Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (b), Hawaii County Code]. A lobbyist means "any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." [Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code]. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five (5) working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. "Other reasonable modification" refers to communication methods or devices for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged.
