Re: Malamapono Behavioral Health Campus

The County of Hawaii (County) confirms its support of Big Island Substance
Abuse Council (BISAC) and its proposed Malamapono Behavioral Health Campus
(Campus).
This letter confirms that the County will move forward with its discussion on the
potential partnership in using the available space at the former Hilo Medical Memorial
Hospital at 34 Rainbow Drive in Hilo for the proposed Campus. If a partnership comes
to fruition, the County will work with BISAC to ensure that the GIA awarded be used to
complete designated renovation work.
