Due to HELCO Power Outage, Pāhoa DMV Closed Today
The County of Hawai'i Finance Department informs the public that the Pāhoa office of
the Vehicle Registration & Licensing Division will be closed today, January 28, due to a
HELCO power outage.
The Hilo office of the Vehicle Registration & Licensing Division will be open all day, and
will be receiving customers as normal. Staff members of the Pāhoa office have been
deployed to back up the Hilo office today.
The County appreciates the support and understanding of the public, and apologizes for
the inconvenience.
