Members of most of these Boards and Commissions serve for staggered terms of five years, on a voluntary basis. The following vacancies need to be filled:  Banyan Drive Hawai'i Redevelopment Agency (1 position)  Board of Appeals (1 position)  Cultural Resources Commission (1 position) (Architect)  Environmental Management Commission (Council Districts 3, 6)  Fire Board of Appeals: (5 positions from any Council District), applicants shall have education/experience in the following areas: o Engineering or architectural design; or o Building code enforcement; or o Fire department operations or fire code enforcement; or o Fire protection contraction; or o General contracting; or o Legal  Fire Commission (Council Districts 5,6, 8, 9)  Game Management Advisory Commission (Council Districts 3, 7 & 9)  Kailua Village Design Commission (6 positions)  Ka‘u CDP Action Committee (9 positions)  Kona CDP Action Committee (4 positions)  Liquor Commission (Council District 1)  Liquor Adjudication Board (1 position)  Merit Appeals Board (1 position)  North Kohala Community Development Action Committee (5 positions)  Pension Board (2 positions)  Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission (Council District 5) County of Hawai‘i is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer.
