Mizuno House Committee on Human Services & Homelessness Hawaii State Legislature Dear Chair San Buenaventura, and Chair Mizuno: RE: HB 1842, Relating to Fitness to Proceed I understand that HB 1842, dealing with fitness to proceed, was heard on Wednesday and deferred. I also understand that the testimony on this bill was mixed, but that the majority of the testimony was supportive. I regret that I was not able to submit my own testimony, which would have been in strong support. I think this is an important measure, and hope deferral in this case was to allow time to agree on appropriate amendments and to schedule decision- making on an HD1. If I can be of any assistance in that regard, I ask you to simply let me know. Thank you for your good work. Respectfully Submitted, Harry Krim" MAYOR County of Hawaii is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer.
