SOLID WASTE CLOSURES TODAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2020:
• Hilo Scrap Metal and White Goods
• Pāhoa Scrap Metal and White Goods
• Keaʻau Scrap Metal, White Goods, and Greenwaste
Hilo Scrap Metal and White Goods: Due to staff shortages, the Hilo Transfer Station’s
Scrap Metal and White Goods services are closed today.
Pāhoa Scrap Metal and White Goods: Due to staff shortages, the Pāhoa Transfer
Station’s Scrap Metal and White Goods services are closed today.
Keaʻau Scrap Metal, White Goods, and Greenwaste: Due to staff shortages, the
Keaʻau Transfer Station’s Scrap Metal, White Goods, and Greenwaste services are
closed today.
An update on when services will reopen at these sites will be made once the Solid
Waste Division is able to address its manpower shortage.
