-Statements from the public will be taken throughout the meeting.
5. PRESENTATION
a. Pepe'ekeo Shoreline Fishing Association, Chairman Jaerick Medeiros-Garcia, presentation on
river, stream, and coastal issues related to fishing.
b. Hawaiʻi Firearms Coalition director, Todd Yukutake, Bills in the Legislature related to
firearms, and how they may affect firearm users
c. Hawaiʻi Hunting Association, Tom Lodge, How firearm bills may adversely affect hunters.
6. OLD BUSINESS
a. Discussion of the DOFAW presentation of game bird population statistics, and how we
can encourage an investigation into the cause of game bird population decline.

a. Commissioner brainstorming session on how we may best gather support/opposition with GMAC
related bills in the Legislature.
b. County Managing Director, Roy Takemoto will be working with us to promote GMAC, and plan
public outreach and educational opportunities.

Executive Session: The Game Management Advisory Commission anticipates it may convene in one or
more executive sessions regarding the above matters listed on the agenda, pursuant to HRS Sections 92-4
and 92-5 (a)(4), for the purpose of consulting with the Board’s attorney on questions and issues pertaining
to the Commission’s powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A 2/3 vote pursuant to HRS
Section 92-4 is necessary to hold an executive session. Anyone wishing to discuss an item that does not
appear on the agenda should call the commission secretary at 323-4444 or email donna.urban-
higuchi@hawaiicounty.gov to have the subject placed on the next available agenda.
Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes (hereinafter “HRS”) §92-3.5, the Hawaiʻi
County Game Management Advisory Commission will be conducting this Committee meeting via
videoconference. Game Management Advisory Commission members will be present at the following
location(s), where the public is invited to participate:
Hawaiʻi County Building, Council Chambers, 25 Aupuni Street, First Floor, Suite 1401, Hilo,
HI, and
West Hawaiʻi Civic Center, Mayor’s Conference Room, Building C, Second Floor, 74-5044
Ane Keohokālole Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; or Council Conference Room A
If audio stream between Hilo and Kona is lost for more than a short period of time, the meeting will be
terminated.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation
to access this meeting please contact the Office of the Mayor at 323-4444 as soon as possible, but no later
than five (5) working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. If you are a lobbyist,
you must register with the Hawaiʻi County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist. {Article15,
Section 2-91.3(b), Hawaiʻi County Code. “A lobbyist is any individual who is engaged for pay or other
consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the
purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others
to communicate with public officials.”
