This is a Civil Defense message. <br />This is a High Wind informational update for Sunday afternoon, February 9. <br />The National Weather Service has issued a High wind Warning for Hawaii Island <br />Summits (above 8,000 feet) through Tuesday morning. Travel to the summits is not <br />advised. <br />The National Weather Service has also issued a Wind Advisory for the rest of Hawaii <br />Island beginning midnight through Monday evening. <br />A Wind Advisory means sustained winds of at least 30 MPH or gusts of at least 50 MPH <br />are expected. <br />Due to the potential impacts of High Wind, please tie down loose objects or move <br />them indoors before sundown. <br />Be aware of the following conditions Monday morning: <br />• Roadways may be blocked by downed trees and other debris. <br />• Utility lines maybe damaged leading to outages. <br />Stay tuned to your radio for updates and changes in conditions. <br />Thank you for listening. <br />This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency. <br />..:.... ..i.%�c�.�a. �..:.g. v.. -..a <br />
