This is a Coronavirus(COVID-19) informational update for Friday, February 14 at 9
in the morning.
The County of Hawaii and Department of Health along with other state and
federal partners are working closely to keep you safe and informed.
The Department of Health Reports:
• There are NO cases of the Coronavirus(COVID-19) in the State of Hawaii,
and
• There are NO Department of Health advisories issued to the general public.
Regarding Department of Transportation -Airports status:
• Screening efforts continue for international travelers who that have been
to China or display signs and symptoms of Coronavirus(COVID-19).
AS A REMINDER:
The Department of Health recommends everyone 6 months or older to get the flu
shot. Symptoms of Coronavirus(COVID-19) are similar to the flu. Reducing the
number of flu cases in the community helps decrease the burden on healthcare
providers and facilities, having fewer patients with flu-like symptoms makes it
easier to detect persons who might have Coronavirus(COVID-19) infection.
