Date: February 19, 2020 Time: 11:00 am Frequency: Every 3 hours Update #: 1 This is a Coronavirus -19 informational update for Wednesday, February 19 at 11:00 in the morning. The Department of Health confirms that there are NO cases of Coronavirus -19 reported in Hawaii at this time. Regarding the Japanese visitor who tested positive for Coronavirus -19, at this time, no individuals with prolonged close contact have been identified in Hawaii. Casual contacts are not at risk have been interviewed and are not in need of monitoring. The Department of Health confirms that the individual did not travel to Hawaii Island. The following transportation policies remain in effect: • The U.S. Department of State continues to advise U.S. citizens to not travel to China. • The U.S. temporary entry ban of foreign nationals who have traveled in China remains in effect. • And, mandatory quarantine of U.S. citizens returning to the U.S. from China also remains in effect. AS A REMINDER: • Travelers returning from China should stay at home and monitor their health for fourteen days from the time they left China. If you become ill, stay at home and contact the Department of Health and a health care provider immediately and indicate your recent travel to China. Additionally, your help is needed to prevent rumors about Coronavirus -19. Make sure your information is up-to-date and comes from a credible source.
