Date: February 20, 2020 Time: 9:00 am Frequency: Every 3 hours Update #: 1 This is a Coronavirus -19 informational update for Thursday, February 20 at 9:00 in the morning. The Department of Health confirms that there are NO cases of Coronavirus -19 reported in Hawaii at this time. Regarding residents returning from overseas travel, including China. These travelers are screened to determine the level of risk they pose to the general public and whether isolation/quarantine protocols to keep you safe need to be followed. The possibility of being infected by Coronavirus -19 remains low in Hawaii. The following transportation policies remain in effect: • The U.S. Department of State continues to advise U.S. citizens to not travel to China. • The U.S. temporary entry ban of foreign nationals who have traveled in China remains in effect. • And, isolation/quarantine policies for U.S. citizens returning to the U.S. from China also remain in effect. AS A REMINDER: • When people are ill you should frequently disinfect commonly touched surfaces and objects with a cleaning solution that is at least 10% chlorine bleach or 60% alcohol. Additionally, your help is needed to prevent rumors about Coronavirus -19. Make sure your information is up-to-date and comes from a credible source.
