Incident: Coronavirus Update Message <br /> This is a Civil Defense message. <br /> This is a Coronavirus informational update for Sunday, February 23 at 9:00 in the morning. <br /> The following is a Department of Health Update: <br /> • The Department of Health confirms that there are NO cases of Coronavirus reported in <br /> Hawaii. <br /> • The Department of Health has no Health Advisories for Hawaii at this time. <br /> The following National travel policies are in effect: <br /> • The U.S. State Department Travel Advisory for U.S. Citizens prohibiting travel to China. <br /> • The Presidential entry ban of foreign nationals who have traveled to China in the last 14 <br /> days. <br /> • Quarantine policies for U.S. citizens returning to the U.S. from China remains. <br /> AS A REMINDER: <br /> The best way to prevent any respiratory illness including the flu and Coronavirus- 19 is to <br /> practice everyday preventive actions to include: <br /> • Staying home when you are sick. <br /> • Take extra measures to keep your hands clean. <br /> • Practice cough and sneeze etiquette (maintain distance, cover coughs and sneezes). <br /> Additionally, your help is needed to prevent rumors about Coronavirus-19. Make sure your <br /> information is up-to-date and comes from a credible source. For more information regarding <br /> Coronavirus-19, visit: <br /> • Department of Health website at www.health.hawaii.gov or, <br /> • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website at www.cdc.gov. <br /> • You may also call the Department of Health at 974-6001 or after-hours at 211. <br /> Your Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency will continue to give you daily updates and you will be <br /> notified of any changes that may affect your safety. <br /> Thank you for listening.
