CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY <br />MEDIA UPDATE <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update Message <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />Date: February 26, 2020 <br />Time: 9:00 am <br />Frequency: Every 3 hours <br />Update #: 1 <br />This is a Coronavirus informational update for Wednesday, February 26 at 9:00 in the morning. <br />The following is a Department of Health Update: <br />• The Department of Health confirms that there are NO cases of Coronavirus reported in the State of <br />Hawaii. <br />• The Department of Health has NO Health Advisories for the State of Hawaii at this time. <br />The following National travel policies are in effect: <br />For travel to Japan and South Korea, the U.S. State Department and the Centers for Disease Control <br />and Prevention have issued travel advisories for you to exercise increased caution when traveling to <br />these countries, where the risk for exposure to respiratory illnesses is high. <br />• The U.S. State Department Travel Advisory continues for U.S. Citizens prohibiting travel to China. <br />• Quarantine policies for U.S. citizens returning to the U.S. from China remain. <br />AS A REMINDER: <br />You may have heard that the coronavirus is spreading in other parts of the world. Although <br />coronavirus is not currently present on Hawaii Island, it is always a good idea to prepare your family as <br />you would prepare for any potential hazard. <br />Additionally, your help is needed to prevent rumors about Coronavirus. Make sure your information is up-to- <br />date and comes from a credible source.
