This is a Coronavirus informational update for Wednesday, February 26 at 9:00 in the morning.
The following is a Department of Health Update:
• The Department of Health confirms that there are NO cases of Coronavirus reported in the State of
Hawaii.
• The Department of Health has NO Health Advisories for the State of Hawaii at this time.
The following National travel policies are in effect:
For travel to Japan and South Korea, the U.S. State Department and the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention have issued travel advisories for you to exercise increased caution when traveling to
these countries, where the risk for exposure to respiratory illnesses is high.
• The U.S. State Department Travel Advisory continues for U.S. Citizens prohibiting travel to China.
• Quarantine policies for U.S. citizens returning to the U.S. from China remain.
AS A REMINDER:
You may have heard that the coronavirus is spreading in other parts of the world. Although
coronavirus is not currently present on Hawaii Island, it is always a good idea to prepare your family as
you would prepare for any potential hazard.
Additionally, your help is needed to prevent rumors about Coronavirus. Make sure your information is up-to-
date and comes from a credible source. For more information regarding Coronavirus, visit:
• Before you travel, check for Travel Advisories and Alerts for your destination(s) at
www.travel.state.gov/desti nation.
• Department of Health website at www.health.hawaii.gov or,
• The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website at www.cdc.gov.
• You may also call the Department of Health at 974-6001 or after-hours at 211.
