This is a Coronavirus informational update for Friday, February 28 at 9:00 in the morning.
The following is a Department of Health Update:
• The Department of Health confirms that there are NO cases of Coronavirus reported in the State of
Hawaii.
• The Department of Health has NO Health Advisories for the State of Hawaii at this time.
The following National travel policies are in effect:
• For travel to Japan and South Korea, the U.S. State Department and the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention have issued travel advisories for you to exercise increased caution when traveling to
these countries, where the risk for exposure to respiratory illnesses is high.
• The U.S. State Department Travel Advisory continues for U.S. Citizens prohibiting travel to China.
• Quarantine policies for U.S. citizens returning to the U.S. from China remain.
• For your information, due to airlines cancelling flights to various destinations in Asia you should verify
Department of State and CDC travel advisories for your destinations when planning your trip.
AS A REMINDER:
• Remember to practice cough and sneeze etiquette by maintaining distance and covering coughs and
sneezes.
• Washing your hands often for at least 20 seconds with soap and water is also a good practice to
follow.
Additionally, your help is needed to prevent rumors about Coronavirus. Make sure your information is up-to-
date and comes from a credible source. For more information regarding Coronavirus visit:

• The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website at www.cdc.gov.
