Baker, Chair <br /> Senator Stanley Chang, Vice Chair <br /> Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection, and Health <br /> Hawaii State Legislature <br /> Dear Chair Baker, Vice-Chair Chang, and Committee Members: <br /> RE: SCR 231/ SR 191 Recognizing and Supporting Ongoing Collaborative <br /> Efforts to Produce a Rural Health Care Delivery Hub Plan to Address the <br /> Physician Shortage and Improve Health Care <br /> SCR 231 and SR 191 are easy to support. They seek to address a critical <br /> need—our healthcare shortage—at a time when healthcare is uppermost in our minds <br /> and in a place (rural Hawaii) where the shortage is most acute. <br /> If the collaboration described produces the "rural health care delivery hub plan" <br /> envisioned, there will no doubt be a concurrent demand for additional funding to <br /> implement it.
