This is a COVID-19 informational update for Thursday morning, April 16tH
On today's report of COVID-19, the total number of people tested positive for Hawaii
Island remains at 40. From this, 29 have been cleared as recovered, and the remaining
11 are quarantined at home and monitored by the Department of Health.
For your information the Department of Health is continuing the investigation of the fast
food establishment in Kona which remains closed. Based on findings thus far the
Department of Health believes this outbreak does not pose a risk to the public.
Know that the policies of `Stay at Home', physical distancing, and gatherings remains in
effect. These policies all have one major goal, to help stop the spreading of the
Coronavirus from those that may have to those that do not have it. This is why you are
asked to wear a mask.
As always within the polices of `Stay at Home', stay physically and emotionally healthy
as best as you can. Get your fresh air, sunlight, exercise and stay socially connected
especially to the Kupuna.
