Veteran County worker Horace Farr has been named the Executive of the Hawai‘i
County Office of Aging, whose office is responsible for addressing the needs of the

Farr, 62, has served with the County nearly 30 years, beginning in 1991. He is a

Farr and his wife are lifelong residents of Hilo.
“Horace has been our go-to guy at Aging for so many years, and it’s great that he is
now taking this very important position,” said Mayor Harry Kim. “He is deeply caring and
compassionate, and the County is lucky to have him.”
