<br />CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: May 5, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE Time: 8:30 AM <br /> Radio Frequency: Each Hour <br /> Update #: 1 <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />th <br />This is a COVID-19 information update on Tuesday morning, May 5. <br />On today’s report of COVID-19 the total number of people who tested positive for <br />Hawaii Island is 74. From this, 63 have been cleared as recovered with the remaining <br />11 quarantined at home and monitored by the Department of Health. At this date, for <br />Hawaii Island no one is hospitalized. <br />For your information, the Food Basket will be conducting a food drop off service today at <br />the Keaau High School, from 10 this morning till 12 noon. Thank you, Hawaii Food <br />Basket and the multitude of people and organizations that make this possible. Thank <br />you, Hawaii County Police and National Guard and the Sheriff’s Department for helping. <br />The people of Hawaii Island and the State of Hawaii are doing very well in minimizing <br />the spread and impact of COVID-19.
