<br />CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: May 19, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE Time: 9:00 AM <br /> Radio Frequency: Each Hour <br /> Update #: 1 <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />th <br />This is a COVID-19 information update for Tuesday morning, May 19. <br />On today’s report of COVID-19, the total number of people tested positive for Hawaii <br />Island is 78, from this 76 have been cleared as recovered with the remaining two <br />quarantined and monitored by the Department of Health. <br />For your information, drive through testing will be conducted today at the Puna Medical <br />Center and the Hilo Medical Center. These two medical centers provide this service <br />daily. Please contact them for any additional information on scheduling and <br />requirements. <br />The Island and State of Hawaii are moving forward in removing some of the restrictions <br />established to address the coronavirus. The State of Hawaii has done well in <br />minimizing the spread and impact of COVID-19 but we must be well aware that the virus <br />is out there. In moving forward, we need to continue to get better in following the <br />preventive policies of distancing, face coverings, cleanliness, gatherings, and personal <br />health to keep Hawaii Safe. <br /> <br />Thank you for doing your part. <br />Thank you for listening. <br />This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense. <br />
