<br />CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: May 24, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE Time: 7:30 AM <br /> Radio Frequency: 3 hours <br /> Update #: 1 <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />This is a COVID-19 information update for Sunday morning, May 24. <br />On today’s report of COVID-19, the total number of people who have tested positive on Hawaii <br />Island is 81. Out of this, 78 have been cleared as recovered with the remaining 3 quarantined <br />and monitored by the Department of Health. <br />For your information, there are no drive through testing nor food drops scheduled today. <br />It has been announced that medium risk places such as hair salons, restaurants, and places of <br />st <br />worship may reopen beginning June 1. Know that all restrictions and social distancing <br />requirements will continue to be enforced to ensure the Public’s safety. If you need assistance <br />in providing a safe and healthy place in your reopening for employees and customers please <br />call the County’s COVID Task Force at 935-0031. This service will be provided to you at no <br />cost. <br />Please be safe on this very special weekend of remembrance in honor of the men and women <br />who died serving our great Nation. <br />Thank you for listening. <br />This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense. <br /> <br />
