This is a COVID-19 informational update for Thursday, June 4.
On today’s report of COVID-19, the number of active cases for Hawaii Island stands at zero. An
active case is defined as an individual who has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and is
presently being monitored by the Department of Health.
For your information, a drive through testing is scheduled for today in North Kona at the
Keauhou Shopping Center. Hours are from 8:00 this morning ‘til 12:00 noon. Thank you Ali`i
Health Center for providing this free service and the Hawaii National Guard and the County
Task Force for helping. Know that early testing means early detection and early care. By your
participation you are also helping develop a comprehensive database of information for health
care officials to keep on top of things so they can respond appropriately and timely to protect
your community.
The good place Hawaii Island and State is in today reflects the importance of continuing to
follow the policies of prevention. Thank you for doing your part.
