This is a COVID-19 informational update for Thursday, June 11.
On today’s report of COVID-19, the number of active cases for Hawaii Island, reported by the
Department of Health, stands at zero.
For your information, an `ohana food service is scheduled today in Waimea at the Waimea
District Park. Service begins at 10:00 this morning. Thank you Hawaii Food Basket and their
contributors for providing this service to those in need and the Hawaii National Guard and
County Task Force for helping.
In addition, a drive through testing service is scheduled for today at the Keauhou Shopping
Center in North Kona. Hours are from 8:00 in the morning ‘til 12:00 noon. Thank you Ali`i
Health for providing this free service and the Hawaii National Guard and County Task Force for
helping.
As the Island and State of Hawaii goes forward, please know the importance of continuing to
follow the policies of physical distancing, gatherings, face coverings, cleanliness, and keeping
yourself physically and emotionally healthy. Thank you for doing your part in keeping Hawaii
safe.
