This is a COVID-19 information update for Monday, June 15th
On today's update of COVID-19, the number of active cases for Hawaii Island stands at
one. The Department of Health reports that this case is very isolated and connected to
a previous travel related case and is being monitored.
This is a reminder that the Coronavirus threat remains and we must continue to follow
the preventive policies of distancing, gatherings, face coverings, and cleanliness.
Hawaii Island remains in a very good place because of your efforts in keeping Hawaii
safe. Your efforts and good work of prevention have placed Hawaii State as the best in
the Nation with the lowest per capita infection and fatality rate. In going forward, know
the importance of continuing to follow the preventive policies of keeping Hawaii safe.
