CHAIR'S REPORT ON MATTERS OF INTEREST TO THE COMMISSION
(CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC)
EXECUTIVE SESSION
The commission anticipates meeting in executive session to discuss the hiring of a new
Fire Chief and to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to
the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS
92-5 (a) (2) and (4) and the Hawaii County Charter Section 13-20 (b).
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
• Discussion on the new Fire Chief Selection Process: Fire Chief Rosario has given
notice of his intent to retire November 1, 2020.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
The commission's next monthly meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at
9:00 a.m., in the West Hawaii Civic Center, Building G Conference Room, 74-5044 Ane
Keohokalole Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
