Message: I have read the General Plan 2040 Draft and would like to provide some feedback:
Action 3.32 (Changing general excise tax to 0.5%): I really like this idea as it would encourage selling to local marketsinsteadofcommercial/export.
Action 5.60 (Allowing short-term accommodations on Ag land): Another good idea as this would provide extra incometosupportagriculturaloperations.
Section 2 (Managing Water System Resources): I would like to see alternative water resources encouraged. Specifically,allowing catchment systems on agriculture lands even if they are part of the county water system. Perhaps allowingbothcountywaterandcatchmentsystemsaswell. Having flexibility allows creative solutions.
