n j A1).A road connecting Mudlane&Kukuihaele may be a good thing as there is only one way in&out of the area.However, __
there are many obstacles that need to be overcome before this can happen.How do the residents of both Mudlane&Kukuihaele-
feel about this?
2).Creating a viewing area of Hi'ilawe will only encourage more people to want to get closer! Take a look at the stats collected
by the Waipio Valley Resource Rangers now.There is no infrastructure in place to support more traffic to the area.
3). Gravity! Everything that happens up top effects whats below! Erosion,landslides,increased traffic means more damage to
the critical habitats up there?
4).There are so many issues with this whole thing! The county needs to fix what is broken(wrong¬ working)with the
existing road into the valley before thinking ofdrawing more attention to the valley!
With so many other areas on our island needing attention... focus should be on the existing areas instead of creating new areas
that will increase tourist congestion and harm the enviroment.
UGH! This is so frustrating I could go on and on.
