The open lands around Mahukona are very important to the local Kohala population, and it is not appropriate to put'aMP
resort,golf course,or high end housing. People hike,swim. There is no water or electricity,as it should be in open
areas that are protecting this important coastline and ocean. When the former plantation was failing they somehow;gotazoningchange...which is not in line with the plan to purchase this land for public use. It will be done.
