Hi,
My name is I have lived at above Hawi since 1984.
Mahukona had a very important place in my introduction to the North Kohala community.We swam there,we • •'"
picnicked there,we cleaned up the shoreline and the ocean there. Most of all we met people there and we went with to
people we met to have picnics there. Please do not take all this away from the people of North Kohala and all of Hawaii
Island.
Mahukona is a vital part of the lives of the people of North Kohala. Please do not take it away and replace it with a fancy
hotel,where they would not be welcomed or fancy houses that make piles of lave to keep the eyes of the local people
off of their houses and keep we locals from seeing the Ocean.
Enough, enough of destroying the beauty of Hawaii for money that mostly goes off shore and deprives the people their
heritage.
