Subject: Remove Resort Designation from Mahukona, North Kohala
Dear Sir,
The existing Resort Designation for Mahukona is not in alignment or agreement with the North Kohala Community Development Plap
NKCDP)or the Public Access,Open Space and Natural Resources Commission(PONC).The North Kohala Community
Development Plan calls for the purchase of four coastal properties,including the land between Mahukona and Kapa'a Park for public-..-4•;
use with the 2%Open Space.Mahukona is also listed as priority#4 on the Public Access,Open Space and Natural Resources •- ••••--
Commission on its annual list ofpriority purchases and has been for(12)Twelve Years!
Please remove the resort designation for Mahukona OFF the General Plan 2040 Map immediately.
